Open Season

Sunday, October 29th, 2006

We watched Open Season last night and it was good. You guys have to watch it. It’s super funny and has a great story. One of the funniest part was that a rabbit used a spoon to hit the hunter! hahaha!!!! Guess what?! we watched the whole movie all by ourselves. There was no one behind us, between us, or in front of us. It was awesome! If you liked Madagascar, The Wild, I’m sure you’ll love this movie too. It’s way better and funnier! Check it out!
I’ll give you the recap of the story.  An officer found a bear cub and trained it as a pet. Finally, she had to let go of him. The bear met an one-horned buck and they became partners. All the animals lived behind the waterfalls to hide from the hunters. If they are down there, they will be like sitting ducks. An accident caused by the bear made all the animals slide down the falls into the hunting grounds. So they had to make a way to win over the hunters. They made a raid overnight and took useful weapons like spoons, forks, knives, and they used undergarments as slingshots. In the end they won over the hunters. Well, that’s all.Just watch it. I gaurantee you will enjoy it. =)

Teachers VS Varsity

Saturday, October 7th, 2006

Last Wednesday, the varsity battled the QCCA faculty. We all had fun. The starting 5 of the faculty was Sir Ronnel, Pastor  Ed, Kuya  Joven, Sir Casey, and Haw-Tiu. It was a close game because Sir Ronnel was getting  hot. Haw -Tiu had to sub after a few minutes because he tripped. Everyone was cheering for him. I couldn’t shoot on the first Quarter because I wasn’t  hot yet. But when second quarter came, I was starting to "feel the game". After I chased a loose ball to the 3-point line, I got it and just shot it. Unexpectedly, it went in! That was Pio’s assist. After that I shot a fade-away! Ma’am Baben was hit by Timots. He’s bad!!! Naw.. it was just an accident. So Haw-tiu went in again. When Pastor passed to him the ball, he tried to dribble it. while dribbling, he tripped and fell again. Poor Haw-tiu! So the game still goes on. The faculty got hot on the last quarter and they won over us, 88-85. Ma’am Jenny and Ma’am Baben are the best. Even though they are girls, they’re still willing to play. And you know, Ma’am Jenny can shoot from the 3-point line. Not all "men" can shoot from there. We also got good comentators, Stephen and Ian. With both of them talking, the game was more exciting. I’m sure this game is a highlight and will always be remembered in QCCA’s history.
