My Experiences At DVBS
We had our DVBS last week and its theme is "God’s All-Star Champions." Some of us were student volunteers and we get to help out during the DVBS. Me, Ian, and Kristine were positioned in the Levels 1 and 2 group. A lot of teachers are saying that these 2 levels are the toughest and hard to handle. Well, i agree with them. On the first day of DVBS, they were right, the kids were a pain in the neck. They won’t listen to you, they’ll talk back, they kept on fighting, and some just kept on complaining. For the whole week, there was 2 kids that kept on fighting and would’nt stop. We really disciplined them on the last day. I had patience on them since they are still little, but my patience ran out on the last day. I got mad at a few boys for their behaviour and guess what? Since then till the closing ceremony, they listened to every orders I say. Do we have to shout and get mad at them for them to listen to us?!? Well, I got mad at them, and they started to listen to me then. After the ceremony, we got to eat at an eat-all-you-can restaurant. Our hard works has paid-off. But it is a joy for us to help and get to know the kids. They are really fun to be with. Helping them with crafts and even just inserting the straw inside the juice brings joy into my heart! Well, that’s all! I just want to thank God for the opportunity and experience in helping in our DVBS.
